First haircut!

As I'm sure you can see in the previous posts Tyler's hair is getting very long. Daddy has been asking for months to take his boy for a haircut....but the rule is not until after there first birthday. Not sure where the rule came from, but I am following it! We didn't have a chance to get the haircut done in NJ so we took him to a place in Clifton Park. Since Tyler refused his nap earlier in the day we were a bit nervous as to how he would do having a stranger touching him - but he did great! He had a great time looking around, watching daddy blow bubbles and checking himself out in the mirror (yet another thing that he gets from daddy!). Didn't think it was possible- but he was even more handsome after the haircut. He is already to go for Uncle Chris and Aunt Kendy's wedding!

Ok I'm ready to go!

See what a good boy I'm being....

Yay bubbles!

Ok time for a little snack while I watch some cartoons

The finished product...what a handsome devil!

Play time with Sophia

We headed upstate for 4th of July weekend. We had a great time relaxing and watching our little guy play with his cousin Sophia and Grammy & PopPop. We have learned that Tyler LOVES wagon rides and dropping rocks into the sewers. The endless amounts of fun at Grammy & PopPop's.

PopPop's dream come true....his grandchildren in his little red wagon!  Tyler loves being chauffeured around - demanding "mahhh mahhh" whenever PopPop stopped to take a break

Sophia's turn to lead the way...she prefers being outside the wagon and Tyler just loves to ride!

Dropping rocks into the sewer.  Sophia was nice enough to share her rocks with Tyler.

Tyler exhausted after a day of playing....so tired he couldn't even eat his cookie!

Bruiser...

Tyler had his first bad fall a few weeks ago.  Since our boy won't sit still for a second, it has become increasingly harder to give him a bath without a slip and fall in the tub.  Unfortunately this slip and fall was pretty bad - resulting in a few cuts and a black eye.  No worries within minutes he was back to his old self jumping and screaming like a mad man!

Low key weekend....

Last weekend was a nice low key weekend for the Onyon's.  Most of the weekend was spent at home hanging out enjoying having nothing to do.  Ms. Aubree and Adam came over on Friday for play time and then met up again on Sunday for a walk and lunch.   It was a great weekend with lots of laughs while we watched our boy do his thing and get into all kinds of trouble!

Tyler prefers to dump the cheerios all over the floor and then eat them off the floor.  At least he's eating food and not paper!

Just climbing up my slide.....

Weekend fun!

A few weekends ago Mike's friend from Chicago came for a visit. Times have changed a little post Tyler so having visitors no longer means late nights out and morning hangovers!   Instead we've moved to mid afternoon bbq's and early bedtimes (at least for Mommy!)  To show Jeff a little glimpse of our life we had some friends over with their little ones.  Tyler's friends Miles and Adam came over for some fun in the sun.  It was a beautiful day with lots of splashing for the little ones and some good eats and drinks for the adults.  Big thanks to Jeff for blowing up the kiddie pools that none of the kids wanted anything to do with!

It didn't take long for Jeff and Tyler to become buds......

Splash time with Adam and Miles....I can't believe how big our boys are getting!

Our baby boy is 1!

For Tyler's actual birthday we had a big day planned. Both Mommy and Daddy took off work to spend the day with their little boy.The day started with a trip to the Dr for his one year check-up and a few shots :(   Afeter that it was nothing but fun! At least Mommy and Daddy had fun!

We kicked off the day bright and early, headed to the dr for the not so fun business and then off to Mc Donlads for some breakfast. This was Tyler's first experience at Mc D's and he seemed to thoroughly enjoy it. He wolfed down his pancakes and kep Mommy and Daddy laughing with his mischievous little smile and continuous tossing of his sippy cup across the room!

Mmmm pancakes

After Mc D's off to the zoo we went. Within about 20 minutes of being there Tyler fell asleep. So Mommy and Daddy enjoyed the zoo while Tyler took a little nap. After he woke up we brought him back to some of the spots we thought he would like best (monkeys, ducks, penguins and fishies).

Let me at those monkeys Dad!

Enjoying a cold beverage while watching his little pengiun friends
After a full morning of excitement we went home to relax a little bit and try to get some more sleep into our little man(always a struggle!). Mommy broke the rules a bit and let her little guy nap on her (why not it's his birthday!)  After an afternoon of relaxing we took a stroll into town and got our little boy some ice cream (we figured after the cake incident we should avoid it for a little while). Surprisingly he wanted nothing to do with it and turned his head each time we tried to give him some. Oh well more for us!

The day was just amazing and Mommy and Daddy enjoyed every minute of it. It's hard to believe that our baby boy is one.  Feels like yestserday we were holding our little angel in the hosptial trying to figure out what the heck to do next!   It's been a year filled with lots of laughs, lots of tears, lots of smiles and lots of love. The love we feel for this little boy is unexplainable and we cherish every second we have with him! We love you very much Tyler Bear :)
