Grandma and Grandpa come visit

Grandma and Grandpa are in town. They have not seen Tyler since he was born so they were very excited to see how much he has grown. We headed over to Aunt Chris's yesterday to spend some quality time with Grandma and Grandpa.

During Laura and Kathryn's visit one of the must do's is a trip to the park so Kathryn could see the ducks! We met up with Natasha and Dylan and headed off to the pond. For some added fun Natasha gave Kathryns some bread to feed the ducks. What a great idea....only problem is that only one small piece of the bread made it into the ducks mouths...the rest ended up in Little Miss Kathryn's mouth!

Aunt Laura and Kathryn come to visit

Laura and Kathryn arrived on Tuesday to keep Mommy some company while Daddy finishes his training in Chicago. It's been a fun few days with Laura being able to get some snuggle time with Tyler and Aunt Kristen spending time with her girl Kathryn. Kathryn has been very patient and has been great about sharing her Mommies time with her little cousin. We can't wait until Tyler is old enough to play with his cousin (although I am not rushing the growing up thing just yet!)

More of Cape May

What a great week in Cape May. Here are some more pictures of our week there. Tyler and Mommy had a great week with family and appreciated all the help while Daddy was away. It seems that our little man grew a ton this week....it's amazing just how quickly it is all happening. It's exciting and sad all at the same time.

Beach Time

Tyler loves the beach! The day typically consists of Tyler getting to the beach checking out the scene and smiling away...then spending the rest of the day sleeping with an occasional wake up for eating.

Cape May

We have ventured off on our first vacation with our little man. Saturday morning we woke up bright and early and headed off to Cape May for a week long vacation. Tyler has been a very very good boy since we got here. Once again making mom and dads stories of his "rage" seem falsified. We have had lots of fun since we got here and Tyler has had lots of snuggle time with Grammy, Pop Pop and his Aunties and Uncles.

Unfortunately Daddy could only be here for one day, but we spent a very nice day together with the whole family on Saturday. Then we got up bright and early on Sunday for a nice long walk on the boardwalk with Pop Pop and Uncle Bry Guy.

Just another day of Daddy enjoying his little man....but Tyler had a nice little surprise in store while playing! Lets just say Mommy was glad that the rule for diapers is the person holding is the person changing. It was not pretty

Weekend fun with friends

On Saturday we made our way to the Norman's where Tyler tried to put his best foot forward to woo over little Miss Lily. We had a nice lunch together and got to spend a relaxing afternoon the six of us!!

Sunday Aunt Starr came over to spend a little QT. It was nice for Mommy to have a little time with friends and for Starr to see how big Mommy's little boy is getting.

One month check-up

Yesterday was Tyler's one month check-up. Our little boy is growing!



Weight 9lbs 11.5ozs
Length 21.75 inches
Head circumference 37.5cm

The Dr said his height and weight are average and his head circumference is a bit on the smaller side (obviously not taking after mom!). He has gained 1 pound and 1.7ozs and grown .75inches. Our next appointment is in a month and he will get his vaccinations :(.

One month old today!

Today is Tyler's one month birthday. We won't have an official weight and height until tomorrows Dr's appt, but we did an at home weight check and came up with 9lbs 14ozs. So that's 1lb and 4ozs more then when he was born. It's amazing how much he is changing each day.


We had a great day today. Tyler and Mom went to their second Mommy and Me meeting.....Tyler was a bit fussy while we were there but we made it through. The afternoon was a different story. Tyler was a little angel and slept most of the afternoon away, allowing Mommy to organize and cleanup the house a little bit.

After snoozin in the swing and on Mommy for a while he decided it was time to try out the couch.

All grown up!

Today I spent the afternoon going through Tyler's dresser sorting out what no longer fits. Here is a bin filled with his newborn clothes. He is only one month (his one month birthday picture to follow) and he has already outgrown so many of his clothes. Mommy is very sad :(

Proud to be an American!

We took a trip to the Smith resort today (aka Alex's parents house) for a 4th of July celebration. We had a nice little day hanging out by the pool and just enjoying the weather. Tyler was so good sleeping the majority of the time we were there, giving Mom and Dad the chance to swim and relax in the sun for a while. Tyler had a little photo shoot with his cousin Sophia while we were there too.....they both looked so adorable in there 4th of July outfits!

Fun at Grammy and Pop Pops

We made the trip upstate again this weekend and had a great time. Tyler, Grammy and Mom took a trip to Saratoga on Saturday during the day. We did a little shopping, walking around town and hanging out at the park....with some emergency diaper changes intertwined throughout these events! We even got to enjoy a nice lunch out since our little boy was being so good! Tyler really enjoyed himself and loved lying around Congress Park taking everything in.






Saturday night we all hungout at Grammy and Pop Pops. Tyler got cuddle time with everyone.....giving Mommy and Daddy a little bit of a break.

Busy week

This week has been an eventful week for us. We are slowly getting up and around and making more out of our days(even when some of the nights are really really long!).

Tuesday Tyler and Mom went to their very first Mommy and Me meeting. It was great! Mommy met a lot of other moms that live in the area and Tyler got to meet a lot of new little friends. It will be fun going on walks with all the new moms and babies.

Wednesday Danielle and Farrah came to visit. It was nice getting to spend the day getting tips from Danielle on the going on's of a new mom and introducing Tyler and his little girlfriend. It was a great day and will be so much fun watching Tyler and Farrah grow up together!



We are up for another exciting weekend this weekend. Our second road trip upstate! Last weekend was a success so fingers crossed we will have as much luck this time around.
